• are a Black, Indigenous or First Nations, brown, or otherwise non-white person
• are transgender and experience trans related discrimination and/or violence regularly

• have medical expenses not covered by insurance
• have medical expenses, been denied work, or experience discrimination related to ableism
• are eligible for public assistance

From household chores, body feeding help, and emotional support, to letting you get in a GOOD nap or night's sleep, I'm here to make sure that the transition into becoming a family is a smooth one.
16 hours of postpartum support are part of the full circle package.

Healing Birth Education
A private childbirth education series that is cultivated just for you and your experience. It is a childbirth education like no other because it recognizes that standard, outcome-based childbirth education often fails real people. There is no one right way to give birth—it’s time our birth education recognizes that and fosters a new generation of well-educated, autonomous parents!
Education
Anatomy, Physiology, Comfort Measures, How Partners will Support you (this class is for them too!), Positions for Labor, Breathing & Coping Techniques—we’ll cover it all.
Advocacy
Advocacy is a key aspect of giving birth. You will learn how to self-advocate, communicate with your care team, ask good questions, and take control of your birthing experience.
Introspection
Healing Birth Ed recognizes that you are the only expert of your birth. Unlike other approaches, this approach is made just for you and who you are, and is based upon the idea that there is no RIGHT way to give birth. As your mentor, I will help you tap into your inner-knowing.

Work with me one on one to hone in on your birth preferences, your plans A-Z, and get the insider scoop on self-advocacy all from the comfort of your home.
IF YOU DON’T KNOW YOUR OPTIONS, YOU DON’T HAVE ANY.
This meeting is the perfect opportunity to learn about ALL of your options in your birth, because there are so many.
What are the benefits and risks of a membrane sweep? Why might you consider vitamin K for your newborn? What are the pros and cons of an artificial versus a spontaneous rupture of your waters? Do you need IVs? Can you get in the shower at your hospital? What can I ask to get the true answers, and not just the ‘pretty’ ones? How can I set myself and/or my partner up for success in advocating for our needs?
We will discuss everything you want to know about what’s available to you, and dig deep to create your birth preferences.
How do you plan for the unplannable? How can you have the most productive conversations with your provider about what to expect at your birth?
Let’s figure it out together.

This is one reason that I operate on a sliding scale—so that when others pay more, it gives me the opportunity to support people who otherwise couldn’t pay as much. I also accept bartering! Maybe you are a photographer, plumber, nutritionist, small business owner, or anything, really. Let’s talk and see if we can support one another.
In addition to these options, I offer a gift card that you can add it to your baby registry and call in your community to help support you. Because, you won’t need 100 newborn onesies, really.
